Slator’s 2019 Language Service Provider Index Also Places Akorbi 27th Worldwide
PLANO, TEXAS – March 13, 2019– Slator, an independent language services industry analyst firm ranked Texas-based Akorbi, the 9th largest language service provider (LSP) in the nation, and 27th largest organization worldwide in their recent Language Service Provider Index (LSPI).
The Slator LSPI is the language service industry’s first look at growth in 2018 and ranks organizations worldwide based on their revenues and market activities for 2017 and 2018, which represent a meaningful composite of leading organizations.
According to Slator, “2018 has been a year of growth and transition for the language industry, as the latest translation productivity technologies are deployed in a highly complex supply chain. Ready access to capital and increased investor interest again fueled M&A activity among many of the top 50 language services providers and beyond”.
Slator noted Akorbi’s inclusion to the Inc. 5000 list for the past three consecutive years, which
ranks privately-held, for-profit companies based on percentage revenue growth. It also observed Akorbi’s focus on senior executive placement.
Claudia Mirza, Akorbi’s CEO and Co-Founder says, “After expanding our team to include additional industry experts and leaders, we analyzed the changing needs of the industry, and redefined our growth strategy to ensure alignment of quality service, delivery, innovation and technology advancements to support and deliver against those needs”. She added “This provided the changes required to support the growth initiatives for our five business divisions in 2019 and beyond”.
The 2019 LSPI will be a useful resource for buyers, government clients, advisors, and investors particularly as more government and other large clients bundle their language service spend under nationwide framework agreements.
“We are very proud that our organization, our resources, strategy and resulting growth earns us this ranking and particularly being one of the very few language companies to be completely self-funded and still be able to achieve such progress, year after year”. Said Mirza.
In 2019, the company expects to grow 35% organically while increasing overall earnings as a result of purposeful attention to mobile interpreting and localization solutions through its proprietary platform, “ADAPT”. With this technology Akorbi will bring to fruition telehealth platforms to further expand their exposure to multilingual audiences through the tri-integration of interpreting, audio and video communications.
Akorbi’s CEO, Claudia Mirza believes this is the future of Akorbi and will be a strong driver of growth in the future. Additionally, Akorbi is predicting a high-demand and growth of the company’s multilingual staffing and contact center (BPO) divisions.
