Auction Advisors to Sell the Intellectual Property and Other Assets of the Former Parakeet Systems, Inc. and Former SpeakLike, Inc.

NEW YORK, N.Y., January 2, 2020. Auction Advisors, a premier full-service auction company serving the greater New York region, has been retained to market and sell the assets of the former Parakeet Systems, Inc. and former SpeakLike, Inc. in the Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors of Speaklike. “This is a tremendous opportunity for a Language Service Provider (“LSP”) to acquire certain critical assets at a liquidation price” said Mr. Joshua Olshin, a Managing Partner at Auction Advisors.

This sale is for the intellectual property and other intangibles used in the following two businesses:

(1) SpeakLike was a web-based human translation platform that saves time, reduces costs, and maintains the quality expected from human translation. SpeakLike’s self-service platform enables fast, transaction-based handling of translation requests by combining front-end integration and scalable crowdsourcing. With the help of thousands of qualified translators around the world, clients can easily conduct business in any language — whether translating email, chat, documents, or any other critical business operation. Further, the SpeakLike Human Translation API and Strings product can easily be integrated into existing content management platforms, making translation simple and cost-effective.

(2) Parakeet Systems provided advanced proprietary technology that minimized costs, ensured quality and simplified the complexity of managing language translation across channels: websites, printed documents, ecommerce systems, customer support and social media.

Mr. Olshin adds that all sales are subject to court approval and the approval of certain other interested parties, however, all sales will be contingent upon seller obtaining such consents and delivering to any buyer title to the assets free and clear of liens and other financial encumbrances
