The San Francisco-based national dental insurance company Dentegra will employ TransPerfect’s GlobalLink enterprise language services to manage their Spanish and Chinese content translations. Dentegra, part of a holding company conglomerate with 33 million subscribers and $7.1 billion in revenue in 2013, will use the hosted global translation management system to improve their platform.
Dentegra’s use of a global translation management system may be aligned with their efforts to scale their reach in the marketplace. In December of last year they announced that they will be participating in 12 new federal and healthcare marketplace exchanges in addition to the 24 in which they already operated.
Content translation via enterprise language services may allow them to better engage the Spanish- and Chinese-speaking subscribers in the 38 federal and healthcare marketplace exchanges to which they offer Preferred Provider Organization plans.
According to Rocio Haskel, Dentegra Multicultural Marketing and Localization Manager, it is crucial to be able to manage and edit their translation memory down to the segment level, and they chose the global translation management system to ensure integration between the linguistic and project management sides.
With the capabilities of the enterprise language services supporting their translations, Dentegra hopes to provide their Chinese- and Spanish-speaking customers enhanced user experiences in their own language.
