Watch on Youtube: The Rosetta Foundation #LanguageMatters

Since 2009 The Rosetta Foundation has worked to eradicate the knowledge gap based on linguistic discrimination with the support of friends and colleagues in the translation and localisation industries. We connect over 11,000 language volunteers with over 270 non-profit organisations worldwide through our Trommons crowdsourcing platform. Together with these organisations we have empowered disadvantaged communities to gain access to vital knowledge and education previously unavailable to them in over 100 languages.

The Rosetta Foundation has been breaking new ground in translating communications for under-served communities around the world. Our strengths are our highly motivated volunteer network, our open-source advanced technology and our honest collaboration approach with non-profit organisations so that we can understand and support their goals.

The work done by The Rosetta Foundation with volunteers and organisations makes an impact in the following areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Arts & Culture
  • Children
  • Community Development
  • Democracy & Good Governance
  • Disabilities & Special Needs
  • Education & Literacy
  • Environment & Climate Change
  • Food & Nutrition
