Gabriel Fairman

Gabriel Fairman is a thought leader and entrepreneur specializing in localization and business process automation. He has navigated Wxrks from a Boutique Translation Agency to a Global Localization Platform/Translation Management System. A speaker of six languages, Gabriel grew up speaking American English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Argentinian Spanish. He then picked up a bit of French, Italian, and Mandarin. Gabriel writes about the first-hand experience of a business leader, entrepreneur, father, and human being. He loves to play the guitar, cook, play tennis, and be in nature in any way or shape.

Emily Xue

Yuan (Emily) Xue is a senior AI executive and researcher with over two decades of experience spanning fundamental research, large-scale systems engineering, and enterprise product development. Her career is defined by the transition of scientific innovation into production-grade systems that solve real-world business challenges.
Currently, Emily serves as the Head of Enterprise AI at Scale AI, where she drives the enterprise AI strategy and enables organizations to deploy reliable AI at scale. Previously, she spent over a decade in research and engineering leadership at Google across Cloud AI, Brain, and Search. She was the initiator and founding lead for multiple 0→1 product launches, including the Vertex GenAI platforms for tuning, evaluation, and agent engine. As the founder of Vertex Decision AI, she directed the modeling and platform innovations that define modern ML-powered decision-making across sectors. During her tenure as a TL for Google Brain, Emily led the development of deep learning methods specifically for healthcare, demonstrating the impact of AI in highly regulated, high-consequence environments.
Before entering the private sector, Emily was a tenured professor at Vanderbilt University. A recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, she led a research program focused on dynamic systems, statistical learning and applied AI.

Ebru Yildirim

Ebru Yıldırım is the Founder and CEO of Ollang, the AI language execution layer for enterprises that need to deploy, adapt, and operationalize content across 240+ languages at scale. A linguist by training with a master’s degree from Sorbonne, Ebru has spent her career at the intersection of language, operations, and global business. Before founding Ollang, she worked from the buyer and operator side at companies including Accenture, IKEA, and Eurotunnel, then built and ran a translation agency serving Fortune 500 companies, public-sector leaders, and global organizations. That end-to-end experience shaped her conviction that localization should not remain a manual back-office function, but become an AI-native infrastructure layer for global growth. Under her leadership, Ollang has evolved into a workflow-native AI platform for studios, streamers, enterprises, and distributors, supporting 40,000+ projects across 25+ content formats. The platform combines AI orchestration, human-in-the-loop review, automated quality control, and enterprise integrations to help companies reduce operational complexity, accelerate time-to-market, and scale multilingual content without scaling headcount.

Harry Folloder

Harry Folloder is Chief Commercial Officer at Krisp, the Voice AI company powering more than 200 million devices and processing over 80 billion minutes of voice monthly. Previously Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Alorica, he built the company’s AI innovation practice from zero to $200M+ revenue in two years. With 20+ years spanning enterprise technology, AI commercialization, CIO roles within CVC Capital’s portfolio, and the U.S. intelligence community, Harry is a keynote speaker at RAISE AI Paris and Genesys Xperience, and one of CIO Today’s World’s Top 50 Leaders.

Anna Wyndham
Head of Research
Anna is a language services industry professional with expertise in project management, management and quality systems, and a special interest in the life sciences sector. Starting her career in data annotation in Sydney, she then gained 10 years’ experience in London and Madrid with major LSPs before joining Slator as a research contributor. Anna is today Slator’s Head of Research. She holds a B.A. (Hons) in Linguistics from the University of Sydney.

Marlon Duarte
Director of Language and Hospitality Services
Marlon Duarte, MM, CERT/D-HA, CHI™, serves as the Director of Language and Hospitality Services at UCLA Health, where he leads system-wide language access operations, interpretation and translation policy, and initiatives that enhance the patient experience across the academic health system.
As a nationally Certified Healthcare Interpreter, Marlon has over 16 years of leadership in language access, including roles in pediatric, mental health, and academic medical settings. His career includes nine years as a Therapeutic Behavioral Services specialist with at-risk youth, followed by positions as Intake Supervisor and Language Services Manager at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and now director-level leadership at UCLA Health.
Marlon holds a B.A. in Psychology from Cal State Northridge and a Master’s in Management with a post-master’s certification in Health Administration. As a U.S. Navy Search and Rescue Swimmer, Surface Warfare Specialist, and Gulf War I veteran, he applies the same precision and mission focus to advancing equitable, culturally responsive language access in healthcare.

Esther Bond
Head of Advisory
Esther spent several years in France and Luxembourg for work and study, and has since returned to her native London. She has a strong languages background, having studied for degrees in French & Linguistics and Translation & Interpreting. She went on to pursue a career in the Language Services industry, where she gained PM, technology and management experience before joining the Slator team.

Marco Trombetti

Marco Trombetti is a computer scientist, entrepreneur, and investor. In 1999, he co-founded Translated, which pioneered the symbiotic use of artificial intelligence in the language industry. Through Translated, Trombetti introduced adaptive machine translation, delivered the first commercial application of the transformer, and fostered a symbiotic relationship between professional translators and AI. Leveraging the success of Translated and other ventures, Marco co-founded Pi Campus, a venture capital firm investing in AI-applied startups, and Pi School, an educational institution dedicated to training the next generation of AI specialists.

Teresa Marshall
VP, Globalization & Localization
As vice president, globalization and localization, Teresa Marshall drives globalization and localization-related efforts across Salesforce, including internationalization, localization management and development of features designed to enable global Salesforce deployment. In 2009 she joined Salesforce as senior localization manager and led all product localization through a period of intensive growth. Since 2015 Teresa has led both globalization and localization for Salesforce. Teresa started her career as a German linguist and has been working in localization for over 15 years. She has held program and operational management positions at a number of Silicon Valley companies, including leading the Google localization team. From 2010 to 2014 Teresa was an adjunct member of the faculty at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) and taught in the translation and localization management program of the Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation and Language.

Silvia Terribile

Silvia is a Research & Community Specialist at Slator, where she contributes to conferences, events, and research coverage on language AI.
She holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Manchester, where she investigated productivity in the post-editing of neural machine translation in partnership with Toppan Digital Language. She has been teaching translation technologies at the Universities of Sheffield, Manchester, and Roehampton. She has previously worked on localization at Hogarth Worldwide and Turner Broadcasting System.

Marco Rotelli

Marco Rotelli brings over 25 years of experience in the localization industry at eBay, having held roles spanning localization engineering, architecture, and product management. He is currently focused on integrating AI into the content localization ecosystem, applying classic techniques to help shape the next evolution of L10n.

Radhika Malik

At DTC, Radhika invests across the enterprise stack focusing on AI/ML, cloud infrastructure and deep tech. When considering a new investment, she looks for deeply technical founders who want to solve impactful problems, while also forming a long-lasting relationship. She appreciates DTC’s collaborative style, focused domain expertise, company building experience and access to the Dell ecosystem.
Before Dell Technologies Capital, Radhika was an investor with Samsung Catalyst Fund, Samsung’s deep technology venture fund covering AI/ML, semiconductors, cloud, data and 5G. Prior to becoming an investor, she worked as a software engineer and product manager at early-stage startups including Panorama Education and MindMeld (acq. by Cisco), as well as large corporations including Microsoft and Amazon. Transitioning from technical lead to investor, Radhika was a venture capital fellow at Glasswing Ventures and then with The Yard Ventures.
Radhika supports several efforts that aim to boost the number of women in technical and investing roles. She’s an active member of the groups All Raise and Women in VC. She’s also held volunteer and mentorship roles with Women Who Code, Girls Who Code, and Code for Boston. She holds a B.S. and M.Eng. from MIT in Computer Science and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kanu Gulati

Kanu is a Partner at Khosla Ventures where she invests in enterprise applications and infrastructure that leverage advances in AI, as well as robotics and autonomous systems. She has led, and helps manage investments in companies including PolyAI, FieldAI, Aleph, Point One Navigation, Windborne, Kognitos, Zendar, Nomagic, Waabi and Genesis AI among others. Kanu has more than 10 years of operating experience as a research scientist at Intel and Cadence, and founding / early engineer Heavy.ai (hardware-accelerated analytics solution), Spyglass (predictive analytics for design, acquired by Synposys) and Nascentric (fast-circuit simulation tool, acquired by Cadence). She was awarded the Nvidia Graduate Fellowship for her work in hardware acceleration.
Kanu has co-authored three books; authored 35+ peer-reviewed publications; and holds a US patent. She obtained a Ph.D. and master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Delhi. Kanu also earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was co-president of the annual Venture Capital and Private Equity Conference.
