Globo Grows Engineering Team

JUNE 2021 — GLOBO, whose platform is the first data-driven language solution of its kind, announced today that it has made several strategic hirings to deepen its product and engineering bench.

The company places an emphasis on research and development for its technology-driven language solution, GLOBO HQ. Driven by CEO and Founder Gene Schriver’s vision, the platform is based on providing insights that move organizations forward while increasing access to the U.S.’s growing limited-English speaking population.

Hipolito Lopez joins GLOBO as a Senior Software Engineer. Lopez brings eight years of experience in systems administration and software development.

Kelsey Manglicmot joins the company as a Support Engineer and brings expertise in full-stack web development. Manglicmot received a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada.
Additionally, Michelle Matos Imbert recently transitioned from an interpreting role into a full-time position as a Technical Support Engineer. Imbert received her B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology; her background as an interpreter will enable the Engineering team to have first-hand insights.

“It’s an exciting time to join our team,” says Jonathan De Jong, VP of Engineering. “Hipolito, Kelsey, and Michelle’s skills and expertise will help us as we continue to expand our product offerings and further our vision of helping customers communicate seamlessly with limited-English speakers and the Deaf and hard of hearing communities.”

GLOBO’s Engineering department consists of approximately 20% of the company’s workforce, showcasing the strength of their technology-focused products and offerings.
