Iyuno and MPS Form Alliance to Create and End-to-End Film Localization Pipeline

In a move US media localization group Iyuno announced as a strategic partnership, the company will closely collaborate with Motion Picture Solutions (MPS), a theatrical production Language Solutions Integrator (LSI) with headquarters in the UK.

According to Iyuno’s own announcement of the deal, the top leadership at both companies agree that the decision was driven by direct feedback from customers, who were seeking a more agile and contextually aware supply chain, with added transparency for global distribution.

Matthew Aspray, CEO of MPS, said that “Iyuno brings so much to the global localization pipeline, and when combined with our suite of solutions, we’re able to streamline the supply chain without compromising quality or flexibility.”

For his part, Iyuno’s CEO David Lee stated that “In today’s market, it’s clear that finding synergies through partnership is the right strategy.” He considers the deal a natural fit for both organizations, and told Slator that the executive teams were already familiar with each other and saw an opportunity to fill gaps in their respective service offerings.

Employee-owned MPS wanted to expand its footprint in the US and enhance its localization capabilities, while Iyuno “was looking to add Theatrical Mastering, Digital Cinema QC, Packaging, and Fulfillment services to its offering,” said Lee.

While the two LSIs will remain structurally independent, the collaboration is deeply integrated. “The partnership runs deep enough that MPS has taken studio and office space in Iyuno’s prestigious Burbank facility, expanding our capabilities in the Digital Cinema services arena,” said Lee.

Lee also emphasized that the joint effort is about growth opportunities for both companies and streamlined client fulfillment, a more unified and efficient process to support content owners worldwide. “Transparency between companies in the supply chain gives our customers clarity as they work through delivering films globally,” commented Lee.

In the past two years, Iyuno increased its capabilities through several acquisitions, including Turkish dubbing and subtitling company Ak’la Kara and Brazilian dubbing company Unidub.

Lee added that, moving forward, Iyuno’s strategy remains focused on clients’ evolving needs. “We have and always will look at opportunities to better serve our clients, whether that is partnerships, alliances, or M&A.”
