Comms Multilingual is a highly-specialised language services company, located in Epsom, Surrey, UK.
We translate into and from over 100 languages, as well as provide a wide range of related services in specific subject areas. Our main areas of expertise are psychometrics, testing, exams and certifications.

We are looking for an experienced translation project manager to join our team!

MAIN DUTIES

  • Managing multilingual projects from beginning to end
  • Liaising with suppliers and clients
  • Editing/Proofreading translated texts in your native language
  • Translating small documents into your native language
  • Creating reference documentation for projects, including glossaries and translation memories
  • Detailed quality checking of documents, including typeset documents and web pages
  • Working within agreed project deadlines
  • Testing new software (if required)
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

  • A qualification in translation or linguistics
  • Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task across a range of projects
  • Good spoken and written knowledge of one or more languages other than your native language
  • If English is not your first language, then we expect you to be comfortable working in English
  • Great written and verbal skills, both over e-mail and on the phone
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Technical skills associated with translation technology (mainly memoQ and SDL Trados) and MS Office
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign would be a bonus
  • Comfortable working both in a team and on your own
