SUPPLY: Vendor Manager (Recruiter)
Overview:

Salary range: $40,000-$50,000 per year

The primary responsibility of the Vendor Manager is to provide results‐oriented sourcing strategies that procure the best available language resources, including: linguists, translators, interpreters and cultural advisors. To meet our clients’ specific requirements and demands, the Vendor Manager secures resources supporting an independent contractor (freelancer) business model in the language services industry. The person will identify, interview, screen, rank and negotiate rates with linguists who will fill specific language needs, build out a community of partners, and develop a social impact program.

In this role, it is vital that the Vendor Manager possess excellent technical skills and high‐level proficiency in researching and recruiting language resources by leveraging online job boards and social networking websites to promote project opportunities. The individual must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills. The person in this role must have the ability to communicate professionally all times representing our brand experience and culture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and evaluate linguists, translators, interpreters and cultural advisors
• Schedule and conduct phone screenings and evaluations
• Negotiate competitive rates
• Encourage qualified talent to join our language services community
• Demonstrate our language tools
• Oversee onboarding and training for processes
• Develop resources to support recruiting and onboarding
• Track candidates’ progress throughout the sourcing process, leading towards activation in the network
• Manage communications (e‐mails, phone calls and announcements)
• Generate and manage advertisements on job boards and social networking websites
• Utilize recruiting techniques effectively
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with resources once activated to the community
• Respond and react quickly to changes in priorities and / or clients’ demands for language resources and specialists
• Represent the company at job fairs, networking events, associations and supply chain events
• Support the company’s initiatives and represent the company across a diverse community of talent
• All other duties and special projects as delegated by Operations management

Requirements:
• 3‐5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the language services industry
• Must possess creative, resourceful and results‐oriented recruiting techniques
• Ability to re‐prioritize tasks, as needed, to meet the company’s needs
• Must have an interest in foreign languages, cultures and cross‐cultural competencies, and a basic knowledge of geography
• Must be bilingual
• Experience with recruiting databases and/or community job sourcing technologies, partners and programs
• Experience placing advertisements on job boards and social networking websites
• Job fair or trade show experience
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• College degree or equivalent work experience in sourcing and / or recruiting
