Enthusiastic sales person with language industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Handle general client enquirers across all communication channels
- Identify and develop new business leads and clients
- Make initial contact with new potential clients and leads
- Understand client needs and work with PM to devise services to meet those needs
- Work with the PM to provide quotes and handle initial project management
- Keep and update client information within the CRM
- Write and send newsletters and regularly update blog/linked-in and other social media
- Understand changes in the translation industry and keep up to date with China business related news and trends
- Maintain a strong awareness of overall business activities in China as well as the UK
- Potential to manage and oversee other sales staff in the future
Skills/Competencies Required
- Experience in sales of B2B services, experience selling language services preferred
- Ability to work well with clients in person and remotely
- Detail-oriented, polite, focused
- Highly-organised with ability to multi-task and meet sales targets
- Self-starter needing minimal support
- Excellent verbal skills and proven writing skills, experience writing marketing materials or blog content a plus
- Good grasp of SEO, online lead generation, Google Analytics, content management systems and online/digital marketing
- Mandarin Chinese skills and/or China related experience, including time spent in China preferred. If not other second language a bonus
