Sales Manager

Enthusiastic sales person with language industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle general client enquirers across all communication channels
  • Identify and develop new business leads and clients
  • Make initial contact with new potential clients and leads
  • Understand client needs and work with PM to devise services to meet those needs
  • Work with the PM to provide quotes and handle initial project management
  • Keep and update client information within the CRM
  • Write and send newsletters and regularly update blog/linked-in and other social media
  • Understand changes in the translation industry and keep up to date with China business related news and trends
  • Maintain a strong awareness of overall business activities in China as well as the UK
  • Potential to manage and oversee other sales staff in the future

Skills/Competencies Required

  • Experience in sales of B2B services, experience selling language services preferred
  • Ability to work well with clients in person and remotely
  • Detail-oriented, polite, focused
  • Highly-organised with ability to multi-task and meet sales targets
  • Self-starter needing minimal support
  • Excellent verbal skills and proven writing skills, experience writing marketing materials or blog content a plus
  • Good grasp of SEO, online lead generation, Google Analytics, content management systems and online/digital marketing
  • Mandarin Chinese skills and/or China related experience, including time spent in China preferred. If not other second language a bonus
  • The right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
