Production Planning Manager HU/ PL/ CZ/ RO

Position is based in Budapest

Position: full time, indefinite


  • Delivery of localized versions of content broadcast on VIMN portfolio of channels/ platforms in impeccable artistic and editorial quality
  • Efficient planning & tracking of localization process. Key contact point for studios and freelance linguistic editors
  • Localization cost control, Purchase Orders raising and payments flow
  • Sale and acquisitions of existing language versions
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders, incl. programming, PR, marketing, digital, as well as with content management center in Amsterdam
  • Play advisory role in formulating localization policies/ workflows across the region
  • Support localization bidding procedures and studios’ selection, monitor studios’ performance against KPIs
  • Offer linguistic advise for target language, if needed

That’s what we want you to have:

  • be native user of at least one of following target languages: Hungarian, Czech, Polish, Romanian
  • think and work in English
  • have degree in foreign philology and/ or translation studies and/ or media management
  • use passion for foreign languages and cultures to add value to VIMN brands local presence
  • be able to make and execute artistic and editorial decisions, representing VIMN brands awareness
  • be aware of areas which can be culturally sensitive in your target language(s) and brief studios how to mitigate this type of editorial risks
  • understand financial impact of artistic and editorial decisions, being able to efficiently negotiate rates and monitor payment process
  • demonstrate strong project ownership attitude and lead projects from inception to final stage
  • have superb organizational and assets management skills to develop production plan, addressing risks and offering ways to mitigate them
  • be able to communicate your needs/ requirements both to internal stakeholders and external partners in concise and simple way
  • be active member of production/ project/ team meetings, providing data and reporting progress
  • be able to identify problems in due time, offer solutions pro-actively and escalate if necessary
  • be able to prioritize tasks under high time pressure
  • be continually willing to grow your professional knowledge
  • be adaptive to changes and always on the look-out for improvements
  • follow the spirit of collaboration, receiving direction and criticism
  • be open-minded, friendly and present inclusive attitude
  • have sense of humor


  • working knowledge of at least two/ all of following target languages: Hungarian, Czech, Polish, Romanian
  • previous production planning experience in media environment and/ or from localization/ translation/ dubbing/ audio post-production companies with multinational presence
  • proven track record of account management/ vendor management successes in media environment and/ or localization/ translation/ dubbing/ audio post-production companies with multinational presence
  • ability to work within global content supply chain
  • script-proofreading experience in at least one of the following target languages: Hungarian, Czech, Polish, Romanian

Experience required:

  • Ideally 3-5 years of relevant localization experience

Required language level:

  • English – fluent
    Any of these:
  • Czech – native/ working knowledge
  • Polish – native/ working knowledge
  • Romanian – native/ working knowledge
  • Hungarian – native/ working knowledge
