Translation technology vendor memoQ – who have also announced a transformation to its brand identity earlier this year – aspires to capitalize on the name of its widely recognized and respected product.
For over a decade, there was Kilgray and memoQ – two brands, one company. The Kilgray brand, which was, until now, the legal name of the company, has had the richer legacy. Kilgray had been the name of the company that won the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 award three times. It was also the name to refer to the team behind this company. memoQ, on the other hand, has always been the name of the flagship product and the entire ecosystem of products: it is more widely used, both internally and externally.
2018 marks our 14th year in business, yet we feel like we’re just getting started. For our first 14 years, we were called Kilgray Translation Technologies. This year, we are changing our name to memoQ Translation Technologies to reflect our focus on our most popular product – memoQ.
