Language Insight Sponsors Translators Without Borders for a Second Year
Translation and language services provider Language Insight have announced that they will be sponsoring the non-profit organisation Translators Without Borders for a second consecutive year. Translators Without Borders support humanitarian and development agencies as well as other non-profit charities by giving them access to translation and language services on a global-scale.
Language Insight’s Managing Director Donna Twose states “We are delighted to sponsor Translators Without Borders for a second year. The work that they do is amazing and we feel honoured to be able to contribute towards helping them achieve their aims.”
By maintaining a global network of professionals working within the translation industry, Translators Without Borders help organisations overcome any communication barriers which increases their access to critical information and services which can be essential in times of need.
Translators Without Borders’ mission is to provide people access to vital content in their language by:
• Providing aid in humanitarian crisis response through translation and interpreting
• Providing translation and simplification services that are culturally appropriate, accessible and open-source
• Building language translation capacity at the local level
• Raising awareness globally of language barriers
During their first year of sponsorship, Language Insight has helped Translators Without Borders work towards closing the language gaps that disrupt critical international development efforts worldwide and the second year of sponsorship will allow this work to continue.
