Language Transactions, which specializes in M&A in the globalization space, has brokered six language company acquisitions in 2019.  Acquisitions include a video localization business in Spain, a 24/7 transcreation business of media content in Florida and an AI/translation tools business in Canada. Language Transactions works with language companies worldwide;  currently attending the ELIA conference in Amsterdam and presenting at the ALC event in the US.

Michael Klinger is able to leverage his 25 years in the language industry as a translator, translation manager and language owner to help both buyers and sellers find matches.  Dee Johnson has experience both in Mergers & Acquisitions in Europe and 20 years on the vendor side of the localization business.  “Global Matchmaking–the approach is quite simple,” writes Klinger, “given our experience in the language space, we are able to honestly assess the capabilities and requirements of both ‘buyers’ and ‘sellers’ and then we simply make the appropriate connections.”

Currently, Language Transactions is working with over seventy companies worldwide. In the past several years, they have completed 20 Language M&A purchases.  Given their knowledge of the industry, extensive connections and focus, they are able to put together deals quickly and efficiently.  “Language Transactions was able to introduce me to multiple buyers within the first month of talking with them,” writes Nicole Rodgers owner of Nicole Inc.  She adds, they helped advise in terms of pricing, negotiating terms and finding legal resources.

Language Transactions has relationships with many of the larger MLVs and work with many mid-market language ‘sellers’.  “We may be most helpful to smaller language businesses, as we help owners navigate the acquisition process for the first time,” writes Klinger.  There is no cost to engage Language Transactions and no long-term binding contract.
