memoQ, the essential translation productivity platform, today announced significant growth and organizational transformation led by sustained year-over-year top-line performance. In 2018, memoQ rebranded, released four new product versions, published a Trend Report, expanded its suite of technology, organized a record-breaking 10th memoQfest and opened a new office in Toronto. memoQ also reached the important milestone of 1000+ active memoQ Servers, a new critical mass of business users.

This continued company momentum speaks to significant market opportunity and demand for the translation and localization technology delivered by memoQ. To support this growth and change, the company announced several new appointments in Q4 2018.

Zoltán Honti joined as Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 20 years of financial leadership experience from companies including T-Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Keystone. Signaling a growing emphasis on customer-centricity and professional services, memoQ also hired Gábor Fauszt in the new role of Client Service Director. Fauszt brings valuable experience from his senior positions at IDC, a global IT market intelligence and advisory services firm. After changing from a siloed approach to integrated sales-marketing during the summer, further key hires into memoQ’s “smarketing” team includes Dominika Olszewska who joined as Business Development Manager (previously with XTRF); after years of robust growth in North America, Bill Willette was appointed as VP of Sales, Americas to lead sales operations in the region (previously with Amplexor, Lionbridge, SDL and 3M); Béatrice Compagnon re-joined the company after several years in entrepreneurship as Account Manager to engage the game software market and customers in Asia-Pacific region; Ulrich Fricke, a senior sales, marketing and regulatory affairs professional also joined as Account Manager to work with life sciences and pharmaceutical customers in Europe.

“Our growth is the result of sustained innovation in the memoQ solution space, investment into fast growth markets like the game software industry and further expansion into new geographies like China, Japan or North America,” said Bruno Bitter, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at memoQ. “Next year, our momentum will continue, as we’re expanding our offering to include even more SaaS solutions, widening our geographical scope and investing more than ever in people.”
