Corianton Alcorn Hired as New Chief Customer Officer of Glyph Language Services

SPOKANE, Wash., US (May 10, 2017) – Glyph Language Services today announced the hire of Corianton Alcorn as CCO. Mr Alcorn assumed this role on May 1, 2017. Mr. Alcorn is Glyph’s first CCO. This position was created to strengthen Glyph’s approach to client satisfaction, emphasizing client relationships and deepening the firm’s ability to serve as a virtual extension of clients’ international operations. Creation of this position also affirms the Board of Directors’ focus on building new revenue streams as a matter of priority.

Mr. Alcorn is returning to Glyph after a two year stint with Straker Translations. He started at Glyph in the Analysis and Pre-Sales team, where he provided solutions, project scoping and planning for both clients and internal teams. In 2013, Mr. Alcorn was asked to cover as Director of Production for Viktoriya Reed while she was on an extended leave. After Ms. Reed’s return in 2014, he became the Global VP of Sales, driving new business and account management.

During that time, Mr. Alcorn participated in providing strategic solutions for existing clients, such as on-demand translations for Nike’s World Cup marketing efforts. Mr Alcorn also cultivated new relationships and business in fields such as global training and talent development, as well as web and software localization.

“Cori’s passion and localization experience are a great complement to the Glyph executive team, which will continue to build positive momentum and focus on client-driven business practices.  His technological creativity will foster financially attainable models that will benefit our clients, and help Glyph stay at the front edge of the ever-changing localization landscape. I could not be more confident stepping into my new role as CEO with such an excellent addition to the team!” said Viktoriya Reed.

“I’ve always been convinced of the importance solutions play in building business and relationships,” said Mr. Alcorn. “One of the key things that excites me about the creation of this new position is the focus on what makes Glyph great: providing unique and sustainable solutions for our customers that change the way they do business.”

Mr. Alcorn has been involved in the localization industry since 2005, when he worked as a patent translator for Technical Language Services, Inc. while studying for a degree in Japanese at Brigham Young University. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Alcorn functioned as the senior project manager for the Far Eastern Languages Department at TLS, training other project managers and successfully designing the workflows and concepts around a multimillion dollar contract with the World Intellectual Property Organization.

“Since I started in this industry, much has changed – the tools, the clients, and the global economy,” said Mr. Alcorn. “With our focus, experience and talent, Glyph is in a position to define best practices in language services for the coming generation. I am proud to be a part of this next step.”
