Smartling Debuts “Move the World with Words” Podcast at American Translators Association 60th Annual Conference
Language translation company will chauffeur translators to conference in Teslas, host $3,000 travel giveaway at ATA60
Smartling, the premier language translation company that established the Enterprise Translation Cloud category, today announces its new podcast, “Move the World with Words,” set to debut this week at the ATA 60th Annual Conference. The American Translators Association 60th Annual Conference is being held in Palm Springs, California at the Palm Springs Convention Center from October 23 to 26.
“Move the World with Words” has the same mission as that of the company’s recently released book by the same name, which was dedicated to understanding the stories of human translators that compliment Smartling’s technology. In addition to telling the stories of translators, not only those associated with Smartling, the podcast will also feature discussions with translators on how consumer trends vary between countries and how those trends impact localization. “Move the World with Words” will be hosted by Ani Obermeier, vice president of marketing, and Adrian Cohn, director of brand strategy and communications, and episodes will be available on Spotify, Apple podcasts, Stitcher and YouTube.
“So often translators, and the work they do, are overlooked. This podcast is another measure Smartling is taking to bridge the divide between the general consumer and the translators localizing products and content from their favorite brands,” said Adrian Cohn, director of brand strategy and communication for Smartling. “Move the World with Words’ is focused on telling translator’s stories and talking through relevant cultural topics that will benefit marketers, translators, localization managers and consumers alike.”
In an effort to further serve translators at ATA60, Smartling, a forward-thinking translation company, will be offering translators complimentary transportation in Teslas, a forward-thinking automobile company, from the airport to the Palm Springs Convention Center. Translators can sign up ahead of time or communicate with the Smartling team once they arrive at the airport to be picked up by Ani Obermeier or Adrian Cohn.
