Xillio and Kaleidoscope Partner to Improve Translation Efficiency

Amsterdam, February 19, 2020 – Xillio, a leading provider of content migration and integration software, is partnering with Austria-based Kaleidoscope, a leading provider of both solutions and services for translation, terminology, connectivity, quality management, query and review management. The goal of the partnership is to help companies interchange data between all systems that are involved in the translation and localization process and improve translation efficiency.

One of the major challenges of the translation industry is the interchange of data between different systems, such as Content Management Systems with ERPs, PIMs, and TMS’s. That’s why Kaleidoscope’s CEO Klaus Fleischmann is a driving force behind the GALA (Globalization and Localization Association) initiative to advance API standards for multilingual content delivery and TAPICC (Translation API Cases and Classes Initiative). For the same reason, Xillio introduced its LocHub platform last year that enables modern translation automation between content systems and the translation technology of choice.

Kaleidoscope will be using Xillio LocHub to complement its middleware translation management solution Connecting Content. The combination of both systems, and in specific LocHub connectors to a variety of content management systems, makes it easier for Kaleidoscope’s end customers to seamlessly integrate their data into the translation processes. As a result, multilingual contents can be created regardless of where the source contents are located. Customers will benefit from this solution offering according to their needs: They either can let Kaleidoscope manage everything as a service or buy the tailor-made solution.

“As the leading Austrian translation service provider, we want to stay on top of business and technological developments,” said Klaus Fleischmann, Kaleidoscope CEO. “Although we have a middleware solution which makes it easy to integrate content management systems with SDL’s translation software, there are too many systems with too little standardization out there. We strive to deliver a plug-and-play, integrated translation solution and we can definitely achieve this by adding Xillio LocHub to our offering.”

Rikkert Engels, Xillio CEO, discussed the partnership: “It’s our mission to make our clients’ translation processes run as efficient and effective as they possibly can. Besides the obvious benefits of better connectivity, the partnership with Kaleidoscope also helps us to advance the TAPICC standard.”

Meet Xillio at the Gala Conference 2020

Xillio and Kaleidoscope will demonstrate the TAPICC integration between LocHub and Connecting Content at Gala Conference 2020, March 15 to 18 in San Diego.
