Elia’s business retreat for language industry leaders takes place near Chania, Greece on 4-5 May
London – 17 February 2017 – Registration is now open for the second edition of ND Focus – Elia’s networking days for Executives. Following a successful inaugural edition in 2016 in Mallorca, Spain, this event will bring together a select number of senior professionals for networking, frank discussion and a focus on the key business issues facing language service companies.
ND Focus – Elia’s networking days for Executives has a unique format with expert moderators – talented business leaders who will share their knowledge and experience – and the emphasis is very much on attendee interaction. With an expanded agenda that runs over two full days, attendees will examine the challenges and opportunities presented by each track and develop clear, actionable insights for your company.
In the Mission, Vision and Execution track, moderated by Tuyen Ho, VP Corporate Development at Welocalize, attendees will look at the changing industry landscape and its challenges, such as consolidation, outside capital influx and technological demands. This track invites executives to re-examine their business strategy to stay competitive, and also to reflect on how top leadership roles should evolve. To quote Marshall Goldsmith, a leading business thinker, “what got you here, won’t get you there.”
The Customer Experience as a Growth Strategy track, moderated by Neil Payne, Director of Commisceo Global, focuses on the importance of having a customer-centric business strategy to grow and differentiate a company in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Attendees will look in detail at how customers feel, how language service companies and clients interact, and how customer experience can be seamlessly integrated into a company’s services to encourage brand loyalty.
It is no coincidence that another sunny, island destination has been chosen for this year’s event as the ethos of ND Focus – Elia’s networking days for Executives is that of a premium business retreat, rather than a traditional conference.
Lara Millmow, Elia Managing Director, comments “The executives who attended our inaugural event told us how much they valued the intimate, collegiate atmosphere and the opportunity to really focus on the issues in a distraction-free environment. These factors, along with the programme content, help ensure that attendees take away valuable new approaches to drive their business forward.”
This event is recommended for language service company owners and senior-level decision-makers such as chief finance, marketing and operating officers.
Registration is open now and Early Bird rates are available until midnight CET on 24 March 2017. Spaces are limited, so register without delay to claim your place for this exclusive event.
Rates include registration, the Networking Dinner on Thursday night, coffee breaks and lunch on both days. For more information including details about the 5* venue, the agenda, (optional) Welcome Dinner and to register, visit events.elia-association.org/nd-focus-exec-2017/.
Gabriela Morales, of Rosario Traducciones y Servicios S.A. in Argentina, had this to say about 2016’s edition:
“ND Focus – Elia’s networking days for Executives is an innovative, extremely useful format, with all the networking opportunities of other conferences but with zero distraction as it‘s really ‘focused’ on target audience specific interests. I really enjoyed it.”
