Bibiana is a Linguistic Services Manager leading strategic programs at Medtronic. She has started her career as medical translator and during her 13 year tenure at the Medtronic Translations department she has led both Linguistic and Localization Project Management teams partnering with cross-functional teams on various product launches from a localization perspective.
Bibiana holds a degree in Applied Foreign Languages from the University of Minho and majored in technical translation and translation technology.

With over 10 years of experience in Translation and Project Management within the Life Sciences sector and having served some of the world’s leading Pharma and Medical Devices companies, Eleni has recently taken over the Business Development activities at Dora Wirth (Languages) Ltd., with her utmost goal being to provide highest quality translation solutions to their global clients.
Eleni holds a Diploma in Foreign Languages and Translation (Ionian University) and a MA in Technical and Scientific Translation (University of Surrey) and has previously worked for a couple of the top 10 LSPs globally within their Life Sciences teams.

Konstantin Savenkov is Intento CEO and Co-founder. After getting a PhD in 2008, Konstantin Savenkov led research and development efforts for online content services, then worked as Chief Technology Officer at Zvooq and as a Chief Operating Officer at Bookmate. In 2016, he contributed his experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), tech and operations to found Intento, Inc., where they build tools to source, evaluate and use machine translation and other cognitive AI services.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Jaime Punishill is responsible for leading global product development and marketing efforts including strategy, brand, content, demand generation, digital, and product marketing.
Jaime is a recognized leader in brand strategy, innovation, and digital experiences, having most recently served as the Head of Brand Strategy & Digital Marketing at TIAA, a top financial services company, where he led the relaunch of its brand. In his prior role as Global Head of Content and Digital Distribution at Thomson Reuters, he designed and built a suite of products and services powering more than 1,000 financial firms, media partners’ portals, and apps. He previously served as Citibank’s N.A. Head of Digital Innovation, where he led Citi’s industry-leading mobile, social, and next-generation digital efforts.

Bob Willans

Bob Willans has a reputation for setting up and growing IT companies. He is the CEO of XTM International, which he co-founded in 2002. The company produces the world’s leading cloud-based enterprise translation management solution (TMS) XTM Cloud. Focused on streamlining complex localization processes and supply chains, XTM centralises TM assets for real-time collaboration, maximising translation reuse.
Bob’s experience in localization started with SDL where he was responsible for their early web-based CAT tool. He enjoys the daily challenge and buzz of building a team who excel at creating great software, providing customers with an excellent user experience and delivering first-class service.

Balázs Kis
Co-CEO
Balázs is one of the founders of memoQ, with decades of experience in IT, translation, and natural language processing. He has a degree in IT engineering and a PhD in applied linguistics from the University of Pécs. He also holds certifications in compliance and in mediation. At the start of his career, he was a Microsoft systems engineer and trainer and one of the prominent Hungarian IT authors with over 20 titles published. He was also the head of research and development at MorphoLogic, and taught translation technology at ELTE University of Budapest.
Balázs has extensive experience in collaborative translation and project management. In 2019 and 2020, he has been member of the board of directors at GALA. Before taking on the co-CEO role in August 2020, he had been memoQ’s chief compliance officer for two years.

Jack Welde
CEO
Jack is a technology early-adopter, serial entrepreneur, software patent-holder, product evangelist, and combat-decorated Air Force pilot. Before founding Smartling, he served as SVP of Product at eMusic and COO/CTO at SheSpeaks and RunTime Technologies. He also co-founded Trio Development, a software company that created the first personal information manager, which was acquired by Apple in 1993. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also studied linguistics and interned with Professor William Labov, and an MBA from Cameron University in Germany. Jack was named one of Fast Company’s “Who’s Next” in 2011, and was named a 2013 NYC Venture Mentor by the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Alex Katsambas is the Head of Linguistic Services at FARFETCH and oversees all translation, transcreation and content creation operations into 14 languages across Editorial, CRM, Performance Marketing, Product Information, UX and Operational Copy, delivering content in 46 markets.
Prior to FARFETCH, Alex worked in the localisation of digital channels for clients such as adidas, Unilever, Turkish Airlines and others. With experience over 10 years in the localisation industry, Alex is specialised in building bespoke translation workflows, planning and international content solutions, including bespoke TMS and CMS integrations and other tech solutions.

Ed Bussey is Founder and CEO of Quill, the global leader in multi-language content production for eCommerce. Prior to launching Quill in 2011, Ed was Chief Operating Officer at ZYB, an award-winning social networking pioneer acquired by Vodafone Plc in may 2008. Ed was also part of the founding team and Global Marketing Director for online retailer Figleaves.com, acquired by N Brown Plc in Oct 2020.
Ed has held non-executive director, chairman and advisory positions with companies including, Mr. & Mrs. Smith Boutique Hotels, Bauer Media Group, Charles Tyrwhitt & Secretsales. Ed began his career in the Royal Navy and held various security appointments with the UK diplomatic service.

Ann Carlisle

Ann Carlisle is Chief Executive of CIOL (Chartered Institute of Linguists), the UK’s lead professional body for languages with global membership and qualifications. She joined CIOL from the Metropolitan Police Service having established their first language development and accreditation strategy. Previously Director of Languages at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and prior to that Director of an in-house commercial language service, including translation, at London Metropolitan University, Ann spent the early years of her career in Germany working for Siemens.
With over 35 years of experience of language management in education, business and government she has a wide-ranging and in-depth understanding of the language profession and the human value of the professionals that work within it.

Balázs Benedek

David Edwards
Localization Lead
David is the Localization Lead at Pipedrive, a cloud-based Sales CRM tool based in Tallinn, Estonia with over 700 employees and 90,000 users worldwide. He has been a part of the Pipedrive family since 2018, and his team is responsible for maintaining and delivering translations across 18 languages and a wide range of channels and products, as well as developing processual improvements and identification of market opportunities. Besides his work at Pipedrive, David submitted his PhD in Central and East European Studies at the University of Glasgow, and teaches English at Tallinn University.
