Cristina Anselmi is a Machine Translation Lead at Electronic Arts Inc. based in Cologne, Germany. She’s been in the video game localization industry since 2012, managing all kinds of multilingual projects, from small mobile games to big MMORPGs and several AAA titles. Her passion for localization in combination with new technologies makes her always look at the best way to apply automation to optimize time and increase speed, without jeopardizing quality, and she believes machine translation is the way to achieve this in the near future.

Tamara Tirják is the Senior Localisation Manager at Frontier Developments, a self-publishing video game developer that employees 500+ people in Cambridge, UK. She is responsible for coordinating all localisation-related activities across all projects, focusing on establishing reproducible, automated processes in order to streamline translation  efforts and support the company’s international presence.

Tamara holds an MSc degree in Technology Management and her previous experience includes project manager, translation tool support engineer,  technical trainer as well as an in-house linguist for various leading language service providers. She is a certified memoQ trainer and a qualified English-Hungarian translator and interpreter.

Daniel Finck

Daniel Finck is an independent consultant who learned his trade setting up and managing localization processes and teams for free-to-play/mobile dames and massively multiplayer online role-playing games on the publisher side. This made him develop a particular interest in seeking and trying out new language technology and service provider models that allow for economic and quality continuous translation workflows. Acting as a bridge between game companies and the language industry, he now supports businesses in selecting and implementing the right processes, tools and partners for their products.

Piotr Misztal is a Partner at Value4Capital (V4C), an independent Private Equity firm, investing in mid-market buy-out transactions. Piotr has over 20 years of experience in private equity investing. He led or participated in numerous transactions from various industry sectors in the European markets. Most recently Piotr focuses on service industries with digital component.

Prior to establishing V4C, he was a Partner at The Riverside Company, a US mid-market private equity firm with global operations. Before joining private equity industry, in the 90-ties, Piotr has held various corporate finance and advisory positions, among others at Bank Austria, Wasserstein Perella, and KPMG. Piotr has Master of Sciences degree of Moscow State Institute for International Relations and Diploma in Business Administration from Canadian International Management Institute.

Ed has held non-executive director, chairman and advisory positions with companies including, Mr. & Mrs. Smith Boutique Hotels, Bauer Media Group, Charles Tyrwhitt & Secretsales. Ed began his career in the Royal Navy and held various security appointments with the UK diplomatic service.

Ann Carlisle

Ann Carlisle is Chief Executive of CIOL (Chartered Institute of Linguists), the UK’s lead professional body for languages with global membership and qualifications. She joined CIOL from the Metropolitan Police Service having established their first language development and accreditation strategy. Previously Director of Languages at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and prior to that Director of an in-house commercial language service, including translation, at London Metropolitan University, Ann spent the early years of her career in Germany working for Siemens.

With over 35 years of experience of language management in education, business and government she has a wide-ranging and in-depth understanding of the language profession and the human value of the professionals that work within it.

Balázs Benedek is co-founder and CTO of Easyling.com, a technology partner of LSPs providing Translation Proxy and in-browser website translation solutions using a mix of human and machine translation throughout the workflow.

Having graduated at the Budapest University of Technology, he has 20 years’ experience in developing solutions to business challenges, including localization tools for the language industry. As a seasoned theoretical and practical IT expert, he has a passion for applying cutting-edge technology and coaching the next generation of software developers.

David Edwards

Localization Lead

David is the Localization Lead at Pipedrive, a cloud-based Sales CRM tool based in Tallinn, Estonia with over 700 employees and 90,000 users worldwide.  He has been a part of the Pipedrive family since 2018, and his team is responsible for maintaining and delivering translations across 18 languages and a wide range of channels and products, as well as developing processual improvements and identification of market opportunities. Besides his work at Pipedrive, David submitted his PhD in Central and East European Studies at the University of Glasgow, and teaches English at Tallinn University.
