Smartcat Announces the #LocFromHome Online Conference to “Stay Connected While Staying at Home”

Smartcat #LocfromHome

Translation platform Smartcat has recently announced an online language industry conference named #LocFromHome and invites language service companies and all businesses interested in localization to participate. The conference will last twelve consecutive hours on April 23 so that participants from all over the world can take part. The company has already confirmed more than 20 global industry leaders as speakers and expects more than 500 attendees at the event.

As the language industry is already suffering a decline in production and revenues, the #LocFromHome conference aims to take a look at all the challenges and possible solutions. Speakers will dive into business- and technology-related topics and review them in the context of the coronavirus situation.

Some of the topics include how to grow revenues in times of recession, finding new customers and projects, optimizing costs, building effective work-from-home processes, and thinking beyond the immediate crisis by evaluating the effects on the industry in a post-covid world.

Smartcat views the #LocFromHome conference as a great opportunity to mingle and interact professionally even though everyone is stuck at home. “We can’t deny that even networking is changing right now,” — says Bryan Montpetit, Smartcat Head of Sales and Product Marketing. “It’s cool we can still meet online for this big event, to stay connected while staying at home.”

Attendance is free.
