Japanese financial printing giant Takara Printing Co. has acquired one of Japan’s oldest language service providers, TOIN, to bolster its translation capabilities.
Printing giant Toppan Leefung acquires Capital Markets and Compliance business from competitor Merrill Corporation. Combined translation unit employs 120 in-house translators.
Donnelley Financial Solutions (NYSE: DFIN) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to divest its Language Solutions business to SDL (LSE: SDL.L) for $77.5 million on a cash free, debt free basis with all consideration to be paid in cash.
Donnelley Financial Solutions reported flat sales and disappointing profits. But growth in translation services helped offset softer performance in other areas.
