TransPerfect Snares Partner from Former New York City Mayor’s Firm

TransPerfect’s litigation support and ediscovery arm TransPerfect Legal Solutions (TLS) has named a new President of its Information Governance Division. Daniel Meyers takes the position, bringing in 12 years of ‘Big Law’ as a “commercial litigator representing investment funds, financial institutions and other businesses.”

Meyer’s principal areas of litigation practice, according to his LinkedIn profile, include bankruptcy, securities, corporate governance, breach of contract and business torts. He also consults on ediscovery and information governance. Meyers was previously a Partner for Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, an international law firm, whose named Partner is former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Meyers was with Bracewell & Giuliani LLP for over a decade, focusing on business disputes and complex commercial litigations. He also founded the firm’s eDiscovery & Information Governance practice group.

TransPerfect is active in the e-discovery space, making two relevant acquisitions in the past 13 years.

TLS’ announcement of their new President of Information Governance Division follows another top management move in late August 2015, when language industry veteran Greg Brink joined TransPerfect as Director of Business Development after most recently being Vice President of Sales at Merrill Brink International.
