Venga Global Hires Cecil Looney as Chief Technology Officer

Dublin, Ireland  – Venga Global, a leader in B2B2C translation and localisation, announced today that Cecil Looney has been named Chief Technology Officer (CTO), responsible for all aspects of the company’s technology development and strategy along with coordination of engineering activities across geographies. He will report to CEO Kåre Lindahl.

“With this appointment, we are adding senior leadership to our technology organization and further integrating engineering activities across regions. He has also been entrusted to manage the growth of strategic tool development, an important part of Venga Global’s success over the years” says Kåre Lindahl. 

Cecil has spent the last 22 years in the Language Industry with companies like Microsoft, Merril-Brink, ULG, and Language Connect. His career has been spent in the various aspects of the translation space, and focus has always been on continuous improvement, specifically around how technology can enable better services to clients – internal and external – either through faster service, improved quality, or cost reduction. 

He will lead the Technology and Engineering teams from Venga’s base in Ireland, giving him strategic access to the European market and providing a balance between teams in the Americas, Asia, and across Europe.
