Montréal, October 18, 2018 – Leading Canadian translation agency Versacom is proud to announce that the Quebec government has entrusted it with the French translation of a significant body of literature on artificial intelligence, commonly known as AI.

AI is booming, and Montréal has become a nerve centre for innovation in this field. “A next-generation industry is taking shape right before our eyes, one that has led to the creation of huge amounts of reference materials and instructional content, primarily in English,” says Versacom President and General Manager François Chartrand.
The Government of Quebec’s OQLF has mandated Versacom with compiling and translating 500 pages worth of foundational content on the subject of artificial intelligence, for use in schools from the elementary to the post-secondary level, along with newly developed material aimed at the corporate world’s technical managers.
Versacom is one of the first companies, and the first translation agency, to contribute to this major project, which will make key AI contents more widely available and help French-speaking experts develop top skills so they can play a leading role in the AI revolution.
