London, UK – October 11, 2020 – XTM International, developers of the world class enterprise cloud based translation management system, have announced the launch of XTM Cloud 12.5. The new release is packed with powerful connectivity, usability and performance boosting features.
Some of the highlights of this release include improved connectivity, productivity enhancements for project managers and linguists, fine-tuned segment ID options, refined language AI as well as additional language support.

The core goal of this release is to enable connections between XTM Cloud and content management systems – in this version Contentful and Crownpeak users will be able to transfer content between systems in a single, unified environment. They will also have integration with the Slack communication platform for project related chat messaging, and they will be able to set up connections to custom MT engines. Ensuring content flows directly between systems, is translated within tight deadlines and goes to market quickly is now a basic need. New Levels of Connectivity
The new version sees the addition of Crownpeak and Contentful connectors to our wide selection of CMS connectors. We have also added custom MT driven workflows, direct integration with Slack, and extended REST API methods. From now on localization teams will be able to submit content for translation directly from these CMS ecosystems without having to manually send files back and forth. Through a direct integration with Slack localization stakeholders will find it easier to manage and resolve queries in real time. We have also enabled users to incorporate custom MT engines into their workflows, eliminating the need for time-intensive connector development. With this release, our selection of REST API methods just gets bigger and better, which is a part of our long-term strategy to increase connectivity between common business systems.
Simple, Efficient Project Management
In version 12.5 we have fine-tuned some settings in the project management module, making them more flexible and granular. Project managers can now automate more workflow management tasks and have more control of their project budgets, while keeping to deadlines. Some of the enhancements in this area encompass workflow level auto-propagation, greater configurability options for contractor PMs, and rate card improvements.
Simple and More Productive Translation
Version 12.5 further delivers flexibility and usability by providing users with a rich set of productivity-boosting features. The ultimate goal is to ensure a user friendly translation environment that increases throughput and reduces manual tasks. In the new version we have more advanced workspace customization, enhanced QA, more intuitive concordance searches, as well as controlled auto-propagation. Importantly, with this new release XTM Workbench is now the only translation environment for users, the previous XTM Editor is no longer available.
Enhanced Software Localization Experience
For users who localize software, XTM Cloud 12.5 brings further support and enhancements to streamline the process. More flexible options for segment IDs mean users can easily search for specific string IDs in reference materials outside of XTM Cloud. Other additions include support for plurals in Portable Object (PO) files and an enhanced HTML filter.
Language AI Improvements and More
The new release improves auto-bilingual term extraction which results in more accurate term candidates extracted during the TM alignment process. Other noteworthy additions include enhancements to Inter-language Vector Space enabled functionality for Indian languages and further support for 8 new languages.
